John G's Challenge - finally!

Ten words: see what you think!

At a poetry reading, I fell into a daydream:
a tall man read a poem about a ferret.
The ferret had a baritone voice, sang
lemon scented songs, undercut by tarmac
stuck to its paws. Around the walls
of its home were deep green shamrocks
grooving gently on a kite string:
And a piece of driftwood countered
his walls preserved with beeswax;
an ultimatum in spinning song.

He never said it had to make sense...?

I now know you ARE a poet, it's just that I didn't know it!

Surreal, but interesting! xx

Interesting - I reckon I could get 8/10 seeing as it was my warped mind that came up with the concept originally.

Like the choice of music on your profile though.

I workshop with another couple of poet-friends and we like to string odd words together to see what we come up with - always fascinating and surprising - like this one you've come up with. And no, it doesn't have to make sense.

Good point Goth - 9/10 then :)

heh heh, john G ;)

CB - I love stretching from what you know to what you're not familiar with. They say you should try something new every once in a while!

You can't beat a bit of 'improv' as it does stretch the mind - which is never a bad thing
