Sizzling Sausages

We're having a heatwave, so with that, I am retiring to the nearest shady part of the garden with an ice cold glass of water, three Salt books, and a fly swat for the kids.

Normal service will resume - some time soon!

In the meantime:

The one spot of ached for good weather we're probably ever going to get and I'm dying of, and mainly confined to the bed/sofa with, a full blown virulent certain to be fatal cold.Totally like double feck it!!

The attractions of the computer do fade with the sun!

Haven't seen anything resembling heat for some time so I'm retiring to the garden with a spade and a pair of seceteurs, leaving my Salt book for a warmer day. Come back soon.

Sizzling sausages... Gloriously random. Best film I've seen all week!

Thank you Dominic, I was looking for something a bit different, although I've probably offended the vegetarians amongst us - none meant!

Rachel, it's cloudy here today, and I DON'T MIND!

Mairi, hope you enjoyed the garden.

Frances, PCs are not my fave place to be in the heat... they seem a bit pointless then :)

Bedad! Man-Flu it is, B. A most terrifying affliction the likes of which mere womenfolk could not even begin to hope to understand. Mere childbirth and open-heart surgery without anaesthetic are but a stroll in the park by comparison. As sure as-eggs-is- eggs I'll be six feet under in Glasnevin cemetry before the full moon is out.

Does this mean your temperature is finally above freezing..it's cooling down here at last, rarely getting above twenty four degrees in the day time ..sometimes the night even gets down to about fourteen....winter is upon us...

Hard for me to imagine at the moment ... but I do enjoy the changing seasons and each one's value - and hearing about a season while you're in the middle of its opposite is a joy! Thanks and enjoy that lovely summer of yours.

Kay, that's one of the reasons I love reading posts about the weather down your way - and, quick plug, why 'made for weather' was such a book of wonder for me: that clear voice from elsewhere telling me all about experiences from the other half of the world. A world of oppositry, if you like.

Liam, oh stop showing off your climate. I tell you, three days of hot sunshine and everyone here's giving out about how they can't cope with the heat! You can't win...
