Browsing: a Slice of Life

Right now I'm sitting on the sofa with half an eye on the sun sinking westward - okay I know the earth is turning instead, but still - and one ear is on cartoons, (Chowder) from the six slinking stinkers' habitat, and the other is listening to a scrunching guitar riff from upstairs - a slinker practicing Rage Against The Machine's 'Killing in the Name' - which is bizarre as I was into this first time around, ah, God bless the nineties. One child is indoors due to sunstroke, the rest are out running around with their friends absorbing Vitamin D from the unusual sun patch. I'm browsing around and I find this lovely poetry book ... and I really want to get it ... now ... but I must wait until July 15th!

The Salt books do always have beautiful covers but this one has to be one of their loveliest exteriors yet. As for the inside...will you review it as you did Rob's (below)?

Barbara, love the images you build of your slice of life - so many angles to zone in on - are you having another heatwave? : )
Aw, poor wee child with the sunstroke.
And in the midst of all that, thanks for browsing...and finding...mucho apprecio...you have made my day today at least 3 times! ; )(I hope you're not disappointed...(a bit more nervy knee knocking taking place here! : )))

No worries Liz - more about that later ;) Good to know you'll be there!

Jo, I used to get it a lot as a kid. Every time we had a good summer - comes of having dark hair and not listening to the thirsty prompt! Cool word verification or what!

And yes it is hot, hot, hot here in the sunny north-east of Ireland, unlike poor Gweedore, Co. Donegal yesterday washed out of it in flash floods. Only in Ireland!

Hope the fried fry is on the mend -horrible that I remember Matt chucking up with it once.

I like putting books aside, like a secret cache of goodies

I'm hoping to have it in time for my next week away writing, third week of July... and then some - just bought a rake of Pascale Petit to cache away for the summer...

I love the cover of Liz's collection.

And you have a feast on your hands with Pascale's collections!
