Balancing on the High Wire, Again!

Back to the coal face once again, when I rejoin the legions of employed people. This time, it's back to book-cooking at a local small firm, from the hours of 9 until 1pm, for a more reasonable wage than the last job.

Hopefully that's going to give me still enough energy and time left to write (and hang around on the internet) as well as mind the kids (smallest she-fecker finishes at 1pm) and cook meals, wash clothes etc., etc.

Now I'm just off to rummage through the wardrobe to see if I've anything suitable to (a) fend off sub-zero temperatures, and (b) look the business.

No suits!

Good luck! Hope the shock is not too great to the system!

Thanks Atyllah

Since it's only three weeks since I left the last job, it shouldn't be too bad. I'm not looking forward to having to sort out the mess that is the new office I'm going to be in... you want to see it Aty, a chicken would be most disconcerted!

Yes good luck and I hope your energy levels hold up. Suits blech!
Smart but casual will do I'm sure.

Hope it's good for you, Babalicious.

I am sure the Land of Ward Robe holds a 'scurvy of suits'.
Shake and bake those books, and don't forget to take a pen - they don't provide them these days!

Congrats on the new job - it sounds ideal. Hope it all goes well for you.
It's good you can still fit in the things that are important to you - I know how that feels.

Thanks very much guys - it's early days yet, so we'll see how it goes!

A chicken would solve the problem by burning the lot and starting again. But I don't suppose you have that option...?

Hope the new job is going well!

Good luck with the new job. It's cold here too- snowed there?

Thanks Aty and Jude. It nearly snowed yesterday for about, ooh five minutes. Today feels positively balmy in comparison!

Burn the lot! I wish... it'd make good bedding for chickens if it were shredded ;)

Remember All The Time that your writing life is Important.
It's taken me a lot of years and a lot of time to come to that Simple Conclusion...
Hope you do it SOONER!

Thanks for that Jan - I know writing is very important, but unfortunately so is feeding, clothing and keeping the roof over six kids... But I still try to make time for writing and probably work best in bursts :)
Now off to see what else is going on in the writing world!
