He once worked with Christopher Tolkien for a year researching material for the History of Middlearth/Silmarillion<BR/><I>The Lord of the Rings</I> - don't think I need explain that one!<BR/><I>Wyrd Sisters</I> - Terry Pratchett, UK, the modern day Dickens.<BR/><I>The Portrait of A Lady</I> - Henry James, about whom so much has been published in the last year, he is having something of a revival, again one of the novels on my courses this year.<BR/><I>Paradise</I> - Abdulrazak Gurnah, born in Zanzibar, East Africa but lives in the UK.
