It was Mike Oldfield, with Sara Brightman on vocals, I think.

I managed to miss the eclipse.

Great picture. And great song mentioned...problem is,it's now installed in my meagre brain so it'll be lilting away there all day and Im no SBrightman.More Homer Simpson.
Some friends viewed the eclipse in the Lakes;the moon, they say, was blood red at one point.
Im afraid I was asleep in my pit...

Didn't realise you guys were eclipsing!
Have enjoyed catching up on your posts (I've been away for a week.) Thoroughly enjoyed reading your description of the Szirtzes evening - I am a fan of his blog which I check in on every so often. A friend of mine over here has met him and says he's a very fine man.
Thanks for the literary references too in another post - I must come back and look some of them up when I've more time. And I did admire your manoeuvres and contingencies in order to get to see George! You deserve a medal my girl!!!

Sorry I got a bit waylaid by the title. The song - Mike Oldfield & Maggie Reilly (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bOLkPbPCbk)

Bloggers who use song titles for their blog posts and if I visit their blogs can expect me to get waylaid very easily :-)

Noted Cybez!

Many thanks CB - have been busy on the poetry end of things this last while, but quietness is the name of the game now, whilst I get used to another new job and hunker down to do some writing for the course I'm doing in Creative writing.

Sorry about the song title - it insinuated itself into my brain, so I thought it only fair to insinuate it into yours - a meme of the best kind ;)

Nice pics. Of course, down south it decided to pretend it was mid-winter and we just saw sheets of rain. Grumble.

Ah ha, my devious plot worked. Thanks for the mention. I think it did go blood red, but we had some high cloud by then, and I was frozen stiff and retreated indoors!
